Description
Dicentra Spectabilis, commonly known as Bleeding Heart, is a deciduous perennial plant that blooms in the spring to mid summer months. When it flowers, it boasts spectacular heart-shaped flowers in pink to fuchsia shades. Its leaves are quite large, and the stems are long. This flower is a real eye-catcher in any garden and will work great as part of a design arrangement with other decorative plants that bloom sequentially.
Choose a spot with partial shade where the dicentra can thrive. Make sure the soil is moist, well-draining and rich in humus. Under the right conditions, Dicentras can grow up to 30 inches tall.
- Blooms mid to late Spring until early to mid Summer
- Prefers partial shade
- Can reach heights of up to 30”
- Excellent Cut Flower
