Description
Brand new tulip Goldfinch bears its blooms on sturdy stems, making them well-suited to cutting for arrangements indoors. The bright blossoms measure about 4 inches in diameter, with petals that are slightly ruffled. Their gold color is especially intense in the center, then fades to a soft peach/orange at the edges. The blooms are carried atop stems that reach heights of 20 to 24 inches in bloom, adding a welcome layer of texture and color to the garden. The foliage of Goldfinch is medium green and lance-shaped, with a somewhat glossy sheen. It remains pleasingly neat and free of disease throughout the growing season. This tulip is an excellent choice for a sunny border, or for growing in containers. For best results, plant in full sun/partial shade, and in soil that is well-drained and rich in organic matter.
