Description
Oxalis Lasiandra, commonly known as Palm Tree Oxalis or Mexican Shamrock, is a perennial herb native to the Mexican state of Oaxaca. It thrives in Quercus-Acacia and Quercus forests at elevations of 1,700–2,000 meters.
- Foliage: The plant features palmately compound leaves with 7–9 leaflets, each exhibiting a lush green hue. The leaflets fold downward at night, a phenomenon known as nyctinasty.
- Flowers: Oxalis Lasiandra produces vibrant, deep pink to crimson, funnel-shaped flowers arranged in clusters. The blooms open during the day and droop at night.
- Growth Habit: This herbaceous plant reaches up to 15 inches in height, forming a compact and attractive mound.
Planting information
